Note: You need to add and verify the beneficiary first before you can successfully make a payout. Learn how to manage your benificiaries through the Beneficiary Management APIs below.

How it Works

  • Fund Source: Payments are made from your WorldFirst balance. Ensure sufficient available balance before initiating a payout.
  • Beneficiary Management: Add and verify benificiaries before making payments. Each beneficiary requires bank details, identity verification, and compliance clearance.
  • Initiate Payment: Create a payout with the recipient ID, amount, and currency. If cross-currency, include an FX quote for automatic conversion.
  • Status Tracking: Monitor payment status in real time via webhooks or query APIs.

Payout to Bank Account

This is an external cross-border or domestic bank wire. It transfers funds directly to commercial banking infrastructure.
  1. Add the beneficiary as a payee using Create a Beneficiary

  1. Fill in the external banking details (IBAN, SWIFT/BIC, Routing number, or local clearing data).
  1. Complete the mandatory security compliance verification.
  1. Define the transfer timeline (send immediately or schedule for a spot/forward contract rate).

  1. Payout arrival time depends on currency and channel. RTP-supported currencies arrive instantly; SWIFT payments may take 1-5 business days.
