Cross-border E-commerce Fund Consolidation

Introduction

Treasury Autopilot can be leveraged by cross-border e-commerce businesses that operate on multiple platforms and need to consolidate scattered funds into a single operating account. The use case described in this section is targeted towards e-commerce sellers and marketplace operators that collect revenue in multiple currencies from platforms like Amazon, Shopee, TikTok Shop, and independent sites — and need to centralise balances for treasury planning, FX execution, and payout scheduling.
For example, a seller operating on Amazon US (USD), Shopee Singapore (SGD), TikTok Shop UK (GBP), and an independent site (EUR) can increase financial efficiency by consolidating scattered funds into a main World Account, converting currencies on demand, and ensuring every dollar is where it needs to be.

Example

Let's say you are a cross-border e-commerce business selling on Amazon, Shopee, TikTok Shop, and your own website. Each platform pays out in different currencies to different accounts. Funds are scattered across currencies and regions, making it hard to see your total cash position or plan payouts efficiently.
The high-level user journey looks like the following:
  1. You receive payouts from Amazon in USD to your US Global Account.
  1. Shopee settles in SGD to your Singapore Global Account.
  1. TikTok Shop pays out in GBP to your UK Global Account.
  1. You view all balances across accounts and currencies in real time using Query Account Balance
    API
    .
  2. You consolidate funds into the main operating account via Create a Payout
    API
    .
  3. If needed, you convert currencies using Create a Quote
    API
    and Create a Settlement
    API
    .

Building it with WorldFirst

Viewing all balances across accounts
The first step is gaining visibility. Call Query Account Balance
API
to see current available and total balances for every Global Account across all currencies and markets. This gives you a single-pane view of global liquidity without logging into multiple banking portals.
Consolidating to the main operating account
With full visibility, call Create a Payout
API
to move funds from collection accounts into the main operating account. Same-currency transfers complete instantly; cross-currency transfers are handled with automatic FX conversion at competitive rates.
Converting currencies on demand
When your main account holds the wrong currency for an upcoming payout, use the On-demand FX workflow. Call Query Rate
API
to check the rate, then Create a Quote
API
to lock it, and Create a Settlement
API
to execute the conversion. The converted funds are immediately available in the target currency.
Monitoring via webhooks
Subscribe to balances.CHANGED webhooks to receive real-time notifications whenever funds arrive, are transferred, or are converted. This enables event-driven workflows — such as auto-consolidation when a collection account balance exceeds a threshold.
Reconciling all movements
For financial reporting and audit:
  • All transfers and FX transactions are recorded with full audit trails.
  • Transaction history can be retrieved via List Balance History
    API
    .
  • Statements can be pulled via the Reporting APIs for each account individually.
