Onboarding guide
This guide explains the qualification requirements and onboarding process for Embedded Finance credit products.
Before You Begin
Embedded Finance credit products are provided by Bettr. Bettr provides licensed per-country/region coverage with dedicated regional contact persons. The onboarding process involves both Bettr qualification and WorldFirst API integration.
Note: Contact your Bettr regional representative to initiate the credit qualification process before starting API integration.
Eligibility Requirements
Embedded Finance credit products use a data-driven credit assessment model. Most products do not require traditional collateral. Requirements vary by product:
Who qualifies?
- B2C cross-border e-commerce businesses on Amazon, Shopee, TikTok Shop, AliExpress, Lazada, etc.
- B2B general trade enterprises with accounts receivable from creditworthy buyers
- OTA and advertising companies with recurring ad spend and revenue settlement cycles
- SMEs without traditional bank financing access, including new enterprise clients since 2020
Onboarding Process
Step 1: Initial Contact and Qualification
- Contact your Bettr regional representative to initiate the credit qualification process
- Discuss your business type, target product, and financing needs
- Bettr determines applicable products and required documentation
Step 2: Documentation Submission
Provide the following:
- Business registration documents — company registration certificate, business license
- Transaction history — platform settlement records, bank statements (typically 6–12 months)
- Platform flow data — settlement data from bound e-commerce platforms (Amazon, AliExpress, Lazada, etc.)
- Order data (for Order Loan) — confirmed purchase orders, historical order records
- Receivables documentation (for Factoring) — invoices, buyer details, payment terms
Step 3: Credit Assessment
Bettr performs standardized credit assessment based on the submitted data:
- Transaction data analysis — volume, frequency, consistency of settlement flows
- Platform binding assessment — which e-commerce platforms settle through WorldFirst
- Business profile evaluation — company type, industry, operating history
Note: Credit limit scales with your business. Platforms bound to WorldFirst settlement (e.g., Amazon) can achieve credit ratios of 1–3x monthly settlement flow. Unbound platforms receive lower credit weight.
Step 4: API Credentials
Once credit qualification is approved:
- Obtain API credentials from the WorldFirst developer portal
- Configure your webhook endpoint URL in the developer portal to receive credit event notifications
- Test API connectivity in the sandbox environment
Step 5: Platform Binding (for Ecosystem Integration)
If using Ecosystem Integration (AliExpress, Lazada, Tmall Global):
- Call ecosystem.bindto link your e-commerce platform accounts to WorldFirst
- This binding is used by Bettr for ongoing credit assessment and auto-repayment
- Call ecosystem.creditEligibilityto verify eligibility for embedded credit on each platform
